Description

This Air Fryer Frittata is a quick, easy, and delicious breakfast option perfect for busy mornings. Packed with eggs, cheese, fresh vegetables, and optional meat, this fluffy and flavorful dish cooks evenly and quickly in your air fryer for a healthy, protein-rich start to your day.

Ingredients

Scale

Egg Mixture

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Vegetables & Cheese

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped spinach
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onion

Optional Protein

  • 1/4 cup chopped cooked bacon or ham (optional)

Others

  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prepare the egg mixture: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  2. Add vegetables and cheese: Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, diced red bell pepper, chopped spinach, chopped green onion, and the optional cooked bacon or ham, ensuring an even distribution throughout the egg mixture.
  3. Prepare the baking dish: Lightly spray a 6- to 7-inch round, oven-safe baking dish or cake pan with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  4. Pour and preheat: Pour the egg mixture into the prepared baking dish. Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (if your model requires preheating).
  5. Cook the frittata: Place the baking dish in the air fryer basket and cook at 320°F for 12 to 15 minutes. Cook until the center is fully set and the top is lightly golden brown.
  6. Rest and serve: Remove the frittata from the air fryer and let it rest for 2 to 3 minutes before slicing into portions and serving warm.

Notes

  • Customize this frittata by adding any vegetables or cheese you enjoy, such as zucchini, mushrooms, or feta.
  • This recipe is a great way to use leftover cooked meats or roasted vegetables.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute with plant-based milk and omit the cheese or use dairy-free cheese options.
