Description

These Air-Fryer Smashed Potatoes are a crispy and flavorful side dish that is easy to make and perfect for any meal. Baby potatoes are boiled, smashed, seasoned, and air-fried to crispy perfection, then topped with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.

Ingredients

Scale

Baby Potatoes:

  • 1 ½ pounds baby potatoes (Yukon Gold or red)

Seasoning Mixture:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil Potatoes: Place baby potatoes in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook for 15–20 minutes until fork-tender. Drain and let cool slightly.
  2. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Smash Potatoes: Flatten each potato slightly with the bottom of a glass. Mix olive oil, melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Brush the potatoes with the mixture.
  4. Air Fry: Arrange potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through until crispy and golden brown. Add Parmesan cheese in the last 2 minutes if desired.
  5. Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, let the smashed potatoes air-dry before air frying.
  • Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or side dish.
