- 8 oz egg noodles
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
For the sweet corn:
- 2 cups frozen or fresh corn kernels
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Salt, to taste
For the country gravy:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Roast Chicken: Preheat oven to 375°F. Rub chicken with melted butter, season with salt, pepper, thyme, and garlic powder. Stuff cavity with onion and garlic. Roast for 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F. Let rest before carving.
- Mashed Potatoes: Boil potatoes until tender. Drain and mash with butter and warm milk. Season with salt and pepper.
- Buttered Noodles: Cook noodles, toss with butter and salt. Garnish with parsley.
- Sweet Corn: Heat corn with butter and sugar until warmed. Season with salt.
- Country Gravy: Melt butter, whisk in flour. Slowly add broth and milk. Simmer until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
