Scale
Biscuit Cups
- 1 (16.3-ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 count)
- ½ pound deli roast beef, thinly sliced
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- Nonstick cooking spray or oil for muffin tin
Au Jus
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- Water as called for on au jus package
Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare muffin tin: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray or oil to prevent sticking.
- Shape biscuit dough: Separate the biscuit dough into eight pieces and flatten each one into a 4–5 inch round using your hands or a rolling pin.
- Form biscuit cups: Press each flattened biscuit into a muffin cup, molding it to create a well or cup shape that will hold the filling securely.
- Add roast beef and cheese: Fold a slice of the deli roast beef and a slice of provolone cheese into each biscuit cup, distributing evenly.
- Prepare garlic butter topping: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with garlic powder and dried parsley, then brush this mixture generously over the tops of each biscuit cup.
- Bake biscuit cups: Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Make au jus: While the biscuits bake, prepare the au jus gravy according to the package instructions, usually by combining the gravy mix with hot water and stirring until dissolved.
- Serve: Once baked, allow the biscuit cups to cool slightly before carefully removing them from the muffin tin. Serve warm with individual small bowls of au jus for dipping.
Notes
- Substitute provolone cheese with Swiss or mozzarella for different flavor variations.
- Add sautéed onions inside the biscuit cups for extra savory depth.
