Ingredients

Scale

Turkey Wings

  • 4–5 turkey wings (separated at the joint, tips removed)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon dried rosemary
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Other Ingredients

  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 2 cups chicken or turkey broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (optional, for thickening)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Season Wings: Pat the turkey wings dry and place them in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, then season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Rub the seasoning into the wings to coat evenly.
  3. Arrange in Baking Dish: In a large baking dish or roasting pan, layer the sliced onions on the bottom and arrange the seasoned wings on top.
  4. Add Broth Mixture: In a small bowl, whisk together the broth and Worcestershire sauce. Pour the mixture around (not directly on) the wings.
  5. Bake Covered: Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  6. Bake Uncovered: Uncover and continue baking for another 30 minutes, or until the wings are browned and fork-tender.
  7. Optional Gravy Thickening: If you prefer a thicker gravy, remove the wings, pour the pan juices into a saucepan, and whisk in 1 tablespoon of flour over medium heat until thickened.
  8. Serve: Serve the turkey wings with the gravy spooned over the top and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Pair with mashed potatoes, rice, or cornbread for a complete meal.
  • You can also add bell peppers or carrots to the dish for extra flavor.
  • For a gluten-free version, omit the flour or substitute with a gluten-free thickener.
