Ingredients
Scale
Turkey Wings
- 4–5 turkey wings (separated at the joint, tips removed)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon dried rosemary
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
Other Ingredients
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 2 cups chicken or turkey broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (optional, for thickening)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Season Wings: Pat the turkey wings dry and place them in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, then season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Rub the seasoning into the wings to coat evenly.
- Arrange in Baking Dish: In a large baking dish or roasting pan, layer the sliced onions on the bottom and arrange the seasoned wings on top.
- Add Broth Mixture: In a small bowl, whisk together the broth and Worcestershire sauce. Pour the mixture around (not directly on) the wings.
- Bake Covered: Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- Bake Uncovered: Uncover and continue baking for another 30 minutes, or until the wings are browned and fork-tender.
- Optional Gravy Thickening: If you prefer a thicker gravy, remove the wings, pour the pan juices into a saucepan, and whisk in 1 tablespoon of flour over medium heat until thickened.
- Serve: Serve the turkey wings with the gravy spooned over the top and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
- Pair with mashed potatoes, rice, or cornbread for a complete meal.
