Ingredients
Scale
Yogurt Mixture
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Garnish (Optional)
- Ground cinnamon for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) ensuring it reaches the right temperature for gentle baking.
- Mix Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, sweetened condensed milk, whole milk, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
- Prepare Ramekins: Pour the yogurt mixture evenly into small ramekins or oven-safe cups, filling them almost to the top.
- Create Water Bath: Place the ramekins into a baking dish and carefully pour hot water into the dish so that it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins, which helps the yogurt bake gently and evenly.
- Bake: Transfer the baking dish to the oven and bake the yogurt for 25 to 30 minutes. The yogurt should be just set with a slight jiggle in the center to achieve a creamy custard texture.
- Cool and Chill: Remove the ramekins from the oven and let them cool to room temperature. Then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavor and texture to fully develop.
- Serve: Before serving, optionally sprinkle a little ground cinnamon on top. Enjoy this dessert chilled for a refreshing and comforting treat.
Notes
- You can adjust the sweetness by reducing the amount of condensed milk or adding a drizzle of honey before serving.
- For a dairy-free version, substitute Greek yogurt with coconut yogurt and use plant-based milk instead of whole milk.
- This dessert pairs beautifully with fresh fruit or a few toasted nuts on top for added texture and flavor.
