Cake Mix Chocolate Chip Santa Cookies:
- 1 box vanilla or white cake mix (15.25 ounces)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup red and green M&M’s
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup holiday sprinkles (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (if using unsalted butter)
Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare baking sheets: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Mix cookie dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, softened butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt (if using). Mix until a soft dough forms. Gently fold in M&M’s, chocolate chips, and sprinkles if using.
- Bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto prepared baking sheets. Bake for 9–11 minutes until edges are set and centers are slightly soft.
- Cool and serve: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Don’t overbake—cookies will continue to set as they cool.
- You can use a chocolate cake mix for a double chocolate version.
