Bread:
- 1 large French bread loaf (about 16 inches)
Spinach Filling:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 5 ounces fresh spinach (chopped)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare Bread: Slice the French bread in half lengthwise and scoop out some of the bread from the center of each half to create a shallow well. Place both halves on a lined baking sheet.
- Cook Spinach: Heat olive oil in a skillet, sauté garlic, add spinach, salt, and pepper. Cook until wilted.
- Make Filling: Combine cooked spinach, cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella, cheddar, Parmesan, and red pepper flakes. Mix until smooth.
- Fill Bread: Spoon the mixture into the bread halves. Bake for 15–18 minutes until bubbly. Broil for a golden top.
- Finish and Serve: Garnish with parsley, cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.
