Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Prepare the dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Mix the wet ingredients: In a large bowl, beat together the oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients: Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients just until combined. Fold in the chopped apples and nuts (if using).
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and serve: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
