 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
 - 1/4 cup water
 - 1 tablespoon orange juice
 - 1 teaspoon orange zest

 - 1/8 teaspoon salt
 
Cream Cheese Layer:
- 2 (8-ounce) blocks cream cheese, softened
 - 1/4 cup chopped green onions
 - 1/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted (optional)
 
Instructions
- Cranberry Topping: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine cranberries, sugar, water, orange juice, orange zest, cinnamon, and salt. Simmer for 8–10 minutes until thickened. Let cool.
 - Cream Cheese Layer: Spread softened cream cheese on a platter. Top with cranberry mixture, green onions, and pecans. Chill for 30 minutes before serving.
 
Notes
- You can make the cranberry topping up to 3 days ahead.
 - For a spicy kick, add finely chopped jalapeño to the cranberries.
 - Substitute goat cheese for a tangier flavor.
