For the pasta:
- 8 ounces spaghetti or linguine
- 2 tablespoons chili oil (plus more for drizzling)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the sauce:
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for extra heat)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley or basil for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, drain, and set aside.
- Prepare the sauce: Heat chili oil and olive oil, sauté garlic and red pepper flakes. Add tomato paste, then cream, Parmesan, and soy sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
- Combine: Toss cooked pasta in the sauce. Add reserved pasta water if needed. Serve topped with chili oil and herbs.
