Cheese Mixture:
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
 - 1 cup whole milk
 - 1 cup heavy cream
 - 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
 - 1/4 cup sour cream
 
Garnish:
- Chopped green onions and crumbled bacon (optional)
 
Instructions
- Brown the Beef: Cook the ground beef in a skillet until browned; drain excess grease and transfer to the slow cooker.
 - Add Ingredients: Add onion, garlic, potatoes, carrots, celery, broth, basil, parsley, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
 - Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until vegetables are tender.
 - Create Cream Mixture: Whisk flour, milk, and heavy cream in a bowl. Stir into the soup and cook on high for 30 minutes to thicken.
 - Add Cheese: Stir in cheddar cheese and sour cream until melted and creamy.
 - Serve: Serve hot, topped with green onions or bacon if desired.
