- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beer (lager or ale)
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Add flour, salt, and melted butter, knead, and let rise.
- Pretzels: Shape dough, boil in water and baking soda, then bake until golden brown.
- Cheese Sauce: Melt butter, whisk in flour, add beer and milk, then stir in cheddar and spices until smooth.
- Serve pretzels warm with cheese sauce for dipping.
