Dill Pickle Hot Sauce:
- 1 ½ cups chopped dill pickles
- ½ cup pickle brine
- 3–4 jalapeños (seeded for less heat, chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dill weed (dried or fresh)
- ½ teaspoon mustard seeds (optional)
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Cooking the Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the chopped pickles, pickle brine, jalapeños, garlic, vinegar, lemon juice, dill weed, mustard seeds (if using), onion powder, and a pinch of salt. Simmer for 8–10 minutes until jalapeños are softened and flavors blend.
- Blending: Remove from heat and cool slightly. Blend in a food processor until smooth. Adjust consistency with more pickle brine or water if needed.
- Chilling: Transfer to a jar, refrigerate for 2 hours to enhance flavors. Shake before use.
