Description

Dragon Sauce is a versatile and flavorful Asian-inspired sauce that adds a punch of umami to any dish. This vegan sauce combines the richness of tahini with the zing of fresh ginger and garlic, all balanced out by a touch of sweetness.

Ingredients

Scale

Dragon Sauce:

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha or chili garlic sauce (optional for heat)
  • 1 tablespoon water (to thin, if needed)

Instructions

  1. Mix Ingredients: In a medium bowl or jar, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, maple syrup (or honey), tahini, ginger, garlic, and sriracha if using.
  2. Adjust Consistency: Add water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Taste and Store: Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Shake or stir before each use.

Notes

  • Use maple syrup for a vegan version.
  • Add more sriracha or a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra spice.
  • Perfect as a dressing, dip, or drizzle for bowls and stir-fries.
