Base Mixture
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Toppings
- 1 cup pizza sauce or marinara
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup mini pepperoni or chopped regular pepperoni
- 2 tbsp chopped green bell pepper or black olives (optional)
Garnish
- Chopped parsley or basil (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Oven and Base Mixture: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, sour cream, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder until you achieve a smooth consistency.
- Layer Ingredients: Spread this cream cheese mixture evenly in the bottom of a small baking dish or a 9-inch pie dish. Carefully pour the pizza sauce evenly over the cream cheese base to create the first topping layer.
- Add Cheese and Toppings: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the sauce layer. Then scatter mini pepperoni or chopped regular pepperoni over the cheese. Optionally, add chopped green bell pepper or black olives for extra flavor and texture.
- Bake the Dip: Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes until the dip is hot and bubbly, with cheese lightly browned and melted on top.
- Cool and Garnish: Remove from the oven and let the dip cool for about 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley or basil if desired.
- Serve: Serve the warm pizza dip with your choice of crackers, sliced baguette, breadsticks, or fresh veggies for dipping.
Notes
- Customize the dip with your favorite pizza toppings like sausage, mushrooms, or jalapeños for added flavor.
- You can also prepare this dip in a slow cooker on low heat for 1–2 hours as an alternative cooking method.
