Ingredients
Scale
Steak Bites
- 1 lb sirloin steak (or ribeye), cut into bite-sized cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Garlic Herb Sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary (or fresh, chopped)
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)
- 1 tablespoon butter
Garnish & Serving
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
- Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Prepare the Steak: Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes, making sure they are roughly the same size for even cooking. Season generously with salt and black pepper to enhance flavor.
- Sear the Steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes in a single layer without overcrowding the pan. Sear each side for 2-3 minutes until a golden-brown crust forms. Cook in batches if necessary. Remove the steak bites from the pan and set aside.
- Sauté Garlic and Herbs: Reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic to the same skillet. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, taking care not to burn the garlic. Add dried rosemary, thyme, and red pepper flakes if using, stirring to blend flavors.
- Combine Steak with Garlic: Return the seared steak bites to the skillet. Toss them in the garlic and herb mixture to coat evenly. Add butter and stir until melted and the steak bites are fully coated with the flavorful sauce.
- Serve: Transfer the garlic steak bites to a serving dish. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an optional fresh, zesty finish.
Notes
- For best results, use a high-quality sirloin or ribeye steak for tenderness and flavor.
- Do not overcrowd the pan when searing steak to ensure a good crust forms.
- Adjust red pepper flakes to suit your preferred heat level or omit for a milder taste.
- Fresh herbs can be substituted for dried herbs if available for a more vibrant flavor.
- Serve with crusty bread or a side salad for a complete meal.
