Description

Heavenly Halibut is a delicious and easy-to-make baked fish dish with a creamy, flavorful topping that pairs perfectly with the mild taste of halibut. This recipe is sure to impress your family and friends with its rich and savory flavors.

Ingredients

Halibut Fillets:

4 halibut fillets (about 6 oz each)

Mayonnaise Mixture:

1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon onion powder, salt and pepper to taste

Garnish:

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional), lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish and place the halibut fillets inside in a single layer.
  2. Prepare the Topping: In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Top the Fillets: Spoon the mixture evenly over the top of each fillet, spreading to cover completely.
  4. Bake: Bake uncovered for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and the topping is golden and bubbly.
  5. Rest and Serve: Remove from the oven and let rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • This dish pairs well with rice, steamed vegetables, or a fresh green salad.
  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the topping mixture.
  • You can also substitute cod or another mild white fish if halibut is unavailable.
