Ingredients
Halibut Fillets:
4 halibut fillets (about 6 oz each)
Mayonnaise Mixture:
1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon onion powder, salt and pepper to taste
Garnish:
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional), lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish and place the halibut fillets inside in a single layer.
- Prepare the Topping: In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Top the Fillets: Spoon the mixture evenly over the top of each fillet, spreading to cover completely.
- Bake: Bake uncovered for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and the topping is golden and bubbly.
- Rest and Serve: Remove from the oven and let rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
