Description

A simple and quick recipe for homemade whipped cream using heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Perfectly fluffy with soft peaks, ideal for topping desserts and beverages.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Chill the Equipment: Place the mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to ensure the cream whips faster and achieves better volume.
  2. Pour the Cream: Remove the chilled bowl and beaters from the freezer. Pour 1 cup of heavy whipping cream into the mixing bowl.
  3. Add Sweetener and Flavor: Add 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the cream in the bowl.
  4. Beat the Cream: Using an electric mixer, beat the mixture on medium-high speed for about 3-5 minutes until soft peaks form. Be careful not to overbeat, as the cream can turn grainy or start to separate.
  5. Check Consistency: When the whipped cream is fluffy and holds soft peaks, stop mixing immediately.
  6. Serve or Store: Use the whipped cream immediately as a topping or refrigerate it in an airtight container for up to 2 hours for later use.

Notes

  • Chilling the bowl and beaters helps create stiffer peaks.
  • Do not overbeat the cream to avoid turning it into butter.
  • Use fresh cream for best results.
  • Can be flavored with other extracts or a pinch of cinnamon for variation.
  • Best used fresh but can be stored refrigerated for a short time.
