Description

This Garlic Parmesan Tortellini Skillet combines tender chicken, crisp broccoli, and cheesy tortellini in a creamy, flavorful sauce. It’s a quick and easy one-pan dinner that’s perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the Skillet:

  • 2 cups small broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 10 oz refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then cook for 5–7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the Skillet: In the same skillet, cook broccoli for 2–3 minutes until crisp-tender. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Pour in chicken broth and simmer. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, and red pepper flakes. Add tortellini, cover, and simmer for 4–5 minutes.
  3. Combine and Serve: Return cooked chicken to the skillet. Stir in butter until melted. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use pre-cooked or rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • Substitute frozen broccoli or add mushrooms/spinach for variety.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella on top before serving for extra cheesiness.
