Description

This Mexican Pizza recipe is a delicious Tex-Mex twist on a classic favorite. Layers of seasoned ground beef, refried beans, cheese, and colorful toppings make for a fun and flavorful meal that the whole family will enjoy.


Ingredients

Ground Beef:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • ½ cup water

Tortillas:

  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • Olive oil for brushing

Other Ingredients:

  • 1 (16-ounce) can refried beans
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 ½ cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions
  • ¼ cup diced tomatoes
  • ¼ cup sliced black olives

Instructions

  1. Preheat: Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook Ground Beef: Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess grease, add taco seasoning and water. Simmer until thickened.
  3. Prepare Tortillas: Brush tortillas with olive oil, bake until crisp, then set aside.
  4. Assemble Pizzas: Spread refried beans on a tortilla, top with beef, another tortilla, salsa, cheese, green onions, tomatoes, and olives. Repeat for remaining pizzas.
  5. Bake: Bake assembled pizzas for 8-10 minutes until cheese is melted. Slice and serve warm.
