Description

This No-Bake Earl Grey Infused Slice is a delightful fusion dessert perfect for afternoon tea. Combining the subtle floral notes of Earl Grey tea with creamy white chocolate and a crunchy biscuit base, this no-bake slice offers a sophisticated yet simple treat that’s easy to prepare and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 1 cup crushed digestive biscuits or graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup almond meal (or finely ground oats)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

Topping

  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (melted)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 Earl Grey tea bags (or 2 teaspoons loose leaf)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Toppings

  • Extra melted white chocolate
  • Edible flowers
  • Crushed tea leaves

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking and allow easy removal of the slice once set.
  2. Infuse the Cream: In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat and add the Earl Grey tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 10–15 minutes to infuse the cream with fragrant flavors. Squeeze out the tea bags or strain the cream if using loose tea leaves, then discard the solids.
  3. Make the Base: In a large bowl, combine the crushed digestive biscuits, almond meal, melted butter, and honey. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients form a cohesive mixture. Press this firmly and evenly into the prepared pan to create the base layer.
  4. Prepare the Topping: Melt the white chocolate chips gently, then stir in the Earl Grey–infused cream and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  5. Assemble and Chill: Pour the white chocolate and tea cream mixture over the biscuit base, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours, or until the topping is firm and set.
  6. Serve: Once set, slice the dessert into bars or squares. Optionally, garnish the top with extra melted white chocolate, edible flowers, or crushed tea leaves for an elegant finish.
