			Dry Ingredients:
- 2 cups rolled oats
 - 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
 - 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
 - 2 tablespoons chia seeds
 - 2 teaspoons baking powder
 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
 - 1 teaspoon salt
 
Wet Ingredients:
- 1 3/4 cups buttermilk
 - 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
 - 1 large egg
 
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan.
 - Mix Dry Ingredients: Combine oats, flours, chia seeds, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
 - Combine Wet Ingredients: Whisk buttermilk, honey (or maple syrup), and egg together.
 - Combine Mixtures: Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
 - Bake: Pour batter into loaf pan and bake for 45–55 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
 - Cool and Serve: Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
 
Notes
- For extra texture, sprinkle additional oats or chia seeds on top before baking.
 - This bread is delicious toasted with nut butter or jam.
 - To make it dairy-free, use plant-based milk mixed with vinegar instead of buttermilk.
