This dish is perfect for a special dinner or a quick weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon:

  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)

Other Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or dry white wine
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon capers, rinsed and drained
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley and lemon slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the salmon: Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the salmon: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear salmon fillets until golden on each side. Remove and set aside.
  3. Make the sauce: In the same pan, melt butter, add garlic, pour in broth or wine, then add cream, lemon juice, capers, and zest. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  4. Finish the dish: Return salmon to the pan, spoon sauce over fillets, and simmer briefly. Garnish with parsley and lemon slices before serving.

Notes
