Ingredients

Scale

Pizza Dough:

  • 1 pound pizza dough, room temperature

Steak and Vegetables:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 pound ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, thinly sliced

Cheese and Seasonings:

  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese (optional)

Egg Wash:

  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook Steak: Heat olive oil in a skillet, cook steak slices seasoned with salt and pepper until browned, then set aside.
  3. Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, cook onions and bell peppers until softened.
  4. Prepare Stromboli: Roll out pizza dough, layer steak, vegetables, and cheese, fold dough over the filling, seal edges, brush with egg wash, sprinkle with garlic powder and Parmesan.
  5. Bake: Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Serve: Let rest, slice, and serve warm with marinara sauce if desired.

Notes

  • For an authentic touch, use Cheez Whiz instead of shredded cheese.
  • You can also make mini stromboli for party appetizers.
