Ingredients
Cookies:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Coating:
- 6 ounces white chocolate, chopped or white chocolate chips

Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Divide the dough in half, shape into discs, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Roll out one disc of dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes and place them on the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 12–14 minutes, or until the edges are just set.
- Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
- Dip each cookie halfway into the melted white chocolate, then place on parchment paper.
Add the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, red food coloring, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined and evenly colored.
Let cookies cool completely on a wire rack.
Add sprinkles if desired and allow the chocolate to set before serving or storing.
Notes
- If the dough becomes too soft while cutting cookies, refrigerate it again briefly.
- Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
- For a richer cocoa flavor, increase cocoa powder slightly and reduce flour by the same amount.
