Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of celery or mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Stuffing:
- 1 (6 oz) box stuffing mix (such as Stove Top)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Chopped parsley for garnish, optional
Instructions
- Prepare Slow Cooker: Spray the inside of the slow cooker with nonstick spray.
- Season Chicken: Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix Soup: In a medium bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, cream of celery (or mushroom) soup, and sour cream until smooth. Spread over the chicken.
- Prepare Stuffing: In another bowl, mix stuffing mix with chicken broth and melted butter until moistened. Spoon over the soup mixture.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours until chicken is tender.
- Serve: Fluff stuffing before serving and garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
- You can use chicken thighs for a more tender result.
- For added flavor, stir in cooked vegetables like green beans or corn during the last hour of cooking.
- Leftovers store well and make great next-day lunches.
