Description

Indulge in a hearty and satisfying breakfast with this Steak Egg Cheese Bagel recipe. Tender steak, fluffy scrambled eggs, and melted cheese sandwiched between a toasted bagel – a delicious way to start your day!

Ingredients

Scale

Bagels:

  • 2 plain or everything bagels (halved and toasted)

Steak:

  • 1/2 pound shaved or thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Scrambled Eggs:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Extras:

  • 2 slices American or cheddar cheese
  • Optional: sautéed onions or bell peppers, hot sauce or mayo for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the Steak: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sliced steak in olive oil until browned, about 3–4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, then set aside.
  2. Prepare the Eggs: Whisk eggs with milk, salt, and pepper. Melt butter in a skillet over medium-low heat, add eggs, and cook gently until just set and fluffy.
  3. Assemble the Sandwich: Toast the bagels. Layer steak, scrambled eggs, and a slice of cheese on the bottom half of each bagel. Add optional toppings. Top with the other bagel half and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, melt the cheese over the steak in the pan before assembling.
  • Swap the bagel with an English muffin or croissant if preferred.
